History of our church
In 1990, talks began with Pecan Springs Christian Church and Trinity United Church of Christ to merge congregations as part of the ecumenical partnership between the UCC and DOC churches. The newly-formed "United Christian Church" first met on October 6, 1991, in the Trinity UCC building. Eventually, the two individual church properties were sold, the land on Parmer Lane was purchased, and the current building was built. This was a 10-year process. The first Sunday service at 3500 West Parmer Lane was September 16, 2001.
Became O&AUnited Christian Church passed our first Open and Affirming statement in 2007. It was further updated in 2012.
