Book Groups
We have a number of active book groups here at United Christian Church. All of the groups meet on Zoom and are open to new joiners. It is certainly okay to attend here and there, as your schedule allows. If you would like to join on Zoom or have questions, please email Church Administrator Kelley DeCleene. Any interested readers are encouraged to join for

Spirit of Love Conversations Book Group
Faith-based book club meets on Zoom each Tuesday at 1:00pm. The Spirit of Love Conversations Book Group will begin a new book for the Lenten season on Tuesday, February 28. The book is The Lives We Actually Have: 100 Blessings for Imperfect Days, by Kate Bowler and Jessica Richie. Along with this book, the group will be using Bowler's discussion guide called "Bless the Lent We Actually Have." It can be downloaded for free at katebowler.com/blessthislent. The group goes chapter-by-chapter each Tuesday on Zoom at 1pm. Each week is self-contained so it's certainly okay if you can't make it for each meeting or would like to jump in here or there. Anyone in the group has the opportunity to take a turn leading the weekly discussion, but this is not a requirement for participation. All interested readers are welcome to join, even here or there, so please grab your copy of the book and join the discussions! |
