SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES - 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.

Nursery
While parents are in Sunday school and worship, their infants are safe in the hands of our trained and experienced child care staff. The Nursery Room is furnished with a rocking chair, changing area and infant toys.

Toddler/Two (babies through 2 year olds) - Room 114

Preschool (ages 3, 4, and 5 who are not in kindergarten) - Room 109

Older Elementary (grades 3, 4, and 5) - Room 112

DURING THE WORSHIP SERVICE

Infants - child care in our nursery is available.

Toddlers - child care in our Toddler Room is available.

4 years old through 2nd grade - attend the worship service until the pastor has "Time for the Children." After that your child may return to sit with you or may attend Children's Church, which is a separate worship experience for the children.

8 years and older - your child will stay with you during the worship service.

CHILDREN'S CHOIRS
Any child who enjoys singing and loves to have fun is welcome to join! We have three choirs for our children: Cherub Choir, Melody Makers, and Holy Notes. All three choirs rehearse Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. between September to May. The choirs sing in the worship service four to five times a year. For more information, please call 218-8110.

Cherub Choir, is open to children, ages 3 to preschool. Amy Tutt and Cathy White are the leaders.

Melody Makers, is open to children who are in kindergarten, first, and second grades. Melissa Selden and Melissa Lacy are the leaders.

Holy Notes, is open to children in third, fourth, and fifth grades. It is led by Emily Jamison Guerrero and Mike Crane.

 

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
One of our important ministries is Vacation Bible School (VBS). VBS is a memorable week of fun and learning, usually held in June. Children ages three through fifth grade participate in creative Bible study, singing, arts and crafts, and mission projects. The week culminates in a music program presented by the children during Sunday worship.

SUMMER CAMPS
Children from United Christian Church can attend either the Disciples Conference Center (DOC) camp or the United Church of Christ Slumber Falls Camp.

Disciples Conference Center (Disciples of Christ) Summer Camp
Gonzales, Texas
A three-day “Discovery Camp” (with parental attendance permitted) is available for children leaving grades three through five. This camp, held at the Disciples Conference Center in Gonzales, Texas, prepares the children for the full youth camp program that starts after the sixth grade.

Slumberfalls Summer Camp (United Church of Christ)
New Braunfels, Texas
Tenderfoot (grades 1-2) is a three day camp. Junior I (grades 3-5) is a full week camping experience. More information is available on their website at www.slumberfalls.com.
