Due to hotter weather and holiday weekends, there will be no outdoor worship on July 3, August 7, or September 4. Outdoor worship on the 1st Sunday of the month will resume on October 2, World Communion Sunday.
When our weather permits, we enjoy worshipping in God's original sanctuary: Creation. We are blessed to have an outdoor sanctuary located down a short hiking loop on the east side of our property.
All are welcome at this simple and serene time of worship. The service features music, scripture and reflection, prayer time, and a time for communion. Masks are optional at the outdoor service and you are encouraged to bring a bottle of water. You may also bring a chair if you prefer, although the Sanctuary is outfitted with many beautiful benches thanks to our youth group. Enter the outdoor Sanctuary using the left-side trail. The Fellowship Hall will be unlocked if you need to use the restroom and childcare is provided in our playground area.
During the week, all are welcome to use this space whenever you wish for personal worship, prayer and mediation. The trail makes a loop with a number of benches along the way for reflection. A stone labyrinth is also located under the trees where you may engage in the ancient Christian practice of walking prayer. Please be advised the trail, though short, is uneven ground and becomes muddy after rain.
