Opportunities to Make Music
Love to sing? Come join our Chancel Choir! We rehearse Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30 and Sundays from 9-10. The Chancel Choir leads congregational hymns and performs weekly anthems, with music ranging across the globe, as well as dating back as far as 400 years. In addition, the Chancel Choir performs occasional large projects once or twice a year. Previous years have seen the Chancel Choir perform the John Rutter Requiem, the Gabriel Fauré Requiem, and Aaron Copland’s The Promise of Living. No audition necessary, just come join us in song! You can stop in to a rehearsal or e-mail the Music Director, Rev. Tom Mitchell
Love to ring? Come to our Handbell Choir and join in the fun! We are fortunate to have a full 5-octave set of Schulmerich Handbells. The Handbell Choir has performed both alone, with music ranging from classic arrangements to modern settings of new hymns, as well as with the Chancel Choir. You do not need to have rung before or read music in order to join the Handbell Choir, just bring yourself and your enthusiasm! Stop in to a rehearsal, or e-mail the Music Director, Rev. Tom Mitchell.
Play an instrument? We want you to join our group of instrumentalists! Our instrumentalists provide occasional chamber music for services, as well as getting together to support the Chancel Choir for some of their larger projects. We welcome players of all skill levels, from beginning to professional. If you are interested in playing with us, please email the Music Director, Rev. Tom Mitchell.
